Wrapping Up An Unforgettable Summer With the Flock!

As my internship comes to an end with Golden Egg Concepts, I’ve been reflecting on just how transformative my time here has been. When I started at the beginning of the summer, I was eager to learn about AEC marketing and how creative strategy supports the work of architects, engineers, and contractors. Now, after weeks of hands-on projects, collaboration, and mentorship, I’m leaving with not only new skills but also a deeper understanding of the industry and my own strengths.

Throughout my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, each with its own challenges and lessons. I’ve created newsletters that engage and inform audiences, assisted with RFP (Request for Proposal) responses that showcase a firm’s capabilities, built polished resumes that help professionals stand out, and designed layouts in Adobe InDesign that bring both clarity and visual appeal to content. These experiences have sharpened my attention to detail, expanded my technical abilities, and taught me how to adapt my work to different clients, voices, and goals.

One of the biggest takeaways from this internship has been seeing how marketing in the AEC world is as much about storytelling and trust as it is about design. Every newsletter, proposal, and resume tells a story about who a company is, what they stand for, and why they are the right choice for a project. Learning how to align messaging, branding, and visuals to communicate that story effectively has been one of the most valuable skills I’ve gained.

I’m deeply grateful to the Golden Egg team for creating such a supportive, collaborative environment where questions were encouraged, creativity was welcomed, and feedback was always constructive. Their mentorship not only helped me grow professionally but also gave me the confidence to take on new challenges and approach projects with fresh ideas.

As I wrap up this chapter, I’m proud of the work I’ve contributed and excited to carry these skills into future opportunities. This internship has confirmed my passion for blending creativity and strategy, and I can’t wait to see where that combination takes me next.

Here are a few samples of what I worked on – Project sheet layout in indesign, data analysis for resume tracking, and preliminary questionnaires.
